Kindness - CR84FN Color Challenge

Hi everyone! Today I have a card for the CR84FN Color Challenge.  When I saw these yummy colours I just had to join in.  I had already made some flowers in the challenge colours, so I set to work making the other elements for my card.
After inking my embossing folder with aurora pigment ink by Brilliance, I used the faux letterpress technique to emboss and ink my base layer card.  The colours of the inkpad are identical to the challenge colours, so that made life easy.
The stamps I used are the 'Kindness' set by JustRite. After stamping and cutting my label out, I cut two more mats and mounted my sentiment label on to those.

I added some pearls which I coloured pink to match, then finished off with a colour co-ordinated seam binding bow, my flowers and some punched leaves. The leaves were stamped with script then coloured with shabby shutters ink. I finished off the bottom of my card with a Martha Stewart punch.

Products Used...
White card base
Basil card stock - lemon, pink and peach
Sizzix embossing folder
JustRite Stamps - Kindness
Brilliance - aurora pigment ink
Tim Holtz distress ink - shabby shutters
Spellbinders Labels Twenty
Pink and lemon seam binding
Martha Stewart punch

LIM Week 58 - One Layer with Script

Hello everyone. It's such a beautiful sunny day here again.
Today I have a card for the challenge at Less Is More. Chrissie and Mandi have challenged us to make a card with just one layer and some script.
For my card I used a stamp that I bought years ago, this is the first time it's been inked.  It's by Inkadinkadoo from the Tin Can Mail collection.
I stamped with Impress chocolate dye ink, then coloured the rose with the following distress inks...Leaves, shabby shutters, bundled sage and fired brick- Rose, tattered rose, fired brick, barn door and brushed corduroy.

Thinking of You - JustRite Stamps

Hi everyone. It really feels like Spring has sprung here today. I hope the sun is shining for you, too.

I had a lovely surprise yesterday, I found out that this card that I entered into the JustRite Friday challenge was given a honourable mention. My prize is a fabulous set of JustRite stamps.
Today I have made another card using some other stamps from the JusRite collections I have. I have always loved their designs, and even more so now that they are compatible with Spellbinders.
The bottom of my card was cut with Spellbinders edgeabilities. I added a mat which I embossed after colouring my embossing folder with ink.  I followed Beate's easy to follow tutorial here. The stamps I used are from the JustRite 'Kindness' and 'Design It Yourself' collections, stamped with cocoa on to yellow basil. I added some strips of cocoa basil, and rhinestones coloured with pro markers in tulip yellow to match my card, then rolled some roses and added satin leaf trim from the Pretty Little Ribbon Shop.

LIM Week 57 - Neutral Colours

YAY! The sun has shone all day here in West Yorkshire...for a change.  Hope it's shone on you too.
This week Chrissie and Mandi at Less Is More, have challenged us to use neutral colours.  For my card I used a cream base then added a mat of cocoa card, and another mat using cream, which I cut from a Spellbinder Fleur De Lis square. Onto this I stamped my image from 'Vintage Garden' by Stempelglede. I stamped with cocoa chalk ink by S.E.I. Unfortunately, it doesn't look very much like cocoa in my photo. With a wet brush I blended some of the ink to give a faded vintage look.

March Challenge - Spring Colours

Hello everyone, hope you all had a lovely weekend.
Today is the start of a new monthly challenge at the Pretty Little Ribbon Shop Blog. It was Mina's turn to choose this months theme and she has asked us to use spring colours.
My first card shape was designed and cut on the Cameo. I then embossed the whole card with dots embossing folder and added a layer of blue basil, then a picot circle cut from yellow basil. I stamped my image, (Spring Bouquet by All Night Media), onto a plain circle die cut and coloured with Pro Markers, then added some gems from my stash. The pretty leaf pins and ribbons for my bow, are from the Pretty Little Ribbon Shop. Ribbons are - 16mm Blue Mesh and 15mm Green Organza.
My second card was also cut on the Cameo. I added DP by DCWV. I then cut three sizes of Spellbinder labels twenty. The largest label was cut from DCWV DP, the two smaller ones were die cut then stamped with JustRite stamps from the Fleur De Lis Labels Twenty set. I used Aurora brilliance pigment ink and clear embossing powder. My bow and ruffle were both made with 25mm pink satin ribbon from the Pretty Little Ribbon Shop.
Do pop over to the blog and take a look at my team mates lovely creations. Why not join in the fun, and the chance of winning something pretty?
